Hej, hej!

We made it! Our things all fit in our backpacks! Today we are on our way to Kiruna. The last week was a bit chaotic and some situations were difficult for us to handle, but it was not easy for us to say goodbye.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, October 29-31. – Horror movie, Halloween party and their consequences

Last weekend was Halloween and we were invited to a Halloween party by Jenny’s friend Jenny on Saturday evening.

To get us in the right mood, we did a horror movie night on Friday, which we ended with an episode of Barbie …

On Saturday we were then – infected by Jenny – full of anticipation for the party in the evening. Jenny had bought us costumes and hired her mother and niece to babysit. The party itself was a bit strange at the beginning, as the average age was lowered quite a bit by us, but the later the evening, the funnier it got. It ended with Lina doing something, which I am unfortunately not allowed to mention here (but I am happy to tell you if you ask me or it is best to ask Lina right away;)) and Emma (one of the two British girls) wants to hide from Jenny’s mother in the future .

The next and our last week was … Lina would describe it as interesting and challenging and I think that fits in quite well. Jenny had a very busy week as she only had difficult horses to shoe. As a result, the mood was sometimes a bit tense, especially when she also had an argument on Tuesday …
But everything was fine again since Thursday evening. As Jenny’s birthday was Friday, we baked cakes for her and finished her present – a card game, chocolate and self-painted pictures of the horses. After two beautiful days, we discovered on Saturday morning that the water pipe had to have a leak somewhere, because the pump was pumping without interruption – and that on the day of Jenny’s birthday party … But that was somehow typical for the daily life here, because somehow things never happen as they were planned. Something always comes up, which somehow also makes life more interesting. Nevertheless, we had fun and enjoyed the last few days.

„Herbert, I miss Herbert“ – Lina, on the train approx. 3 hours after departure *

Although we were really looking forward to Kiruna, it is sad to leave the place that we have now called our home for 2 months. In the last few weeks we have grown together like a big family with Jenny, Wictor, Kayden, Zoey, Siena, Emma and Helene. We experienced a lot, mucked out alot, developed our bread and biscuit baking skills, inspected foals, sorted a garage, the attic, a lumber room and the kitchen and always had a lot of fun. So it is not surprising that we made the plan yesterday (Sunday) evening to meet again at Jenny’s in July and are really looking forward to it! But now we’re going to continue – in 20h by train across Sweden to the north!

See you later and hej då!

* Btw: Herbert is one of the four dogs who has stayed in bed with Lina for the last few weeks;)
